TTL Video Production Wins 3rd Place at the UNA Short Film Festival

TTL Video Production, a husband-and-wife-led creative team based in Olongapo City, proudly earned 3rd Place for its short film Sa Gitna ng Kanta at the first-ever UNA Short Film Festival held in August 2025.

The recognition came as a rewarding surprise for the team, who said they did not expect to win given the strong field of entries. Sa Gitna ng Kanta tells the story of Lira — and of artists like her who constantly weigh their love for art against the realities of survival.

🎬 About the Film: Sa Gitna ng Kanta

Written and directed by Jena Rajni Empeño-Miguel, co-founder of TTL Video Production, and produced by the TTL team, Sa Gitna ng Kanta is a love letter to the heartbeat of Olongapo — Magsaysay Drive and its vibrant live music scene.

Jena drew inspiration from nights spent on Magsaysay with her parents, surrounded by the city’s iconic music bars. Those early influences — rock, reggae, folk, and pop — shaped the film’s sound and emotional core.

“For those of us who grew up in Olongapo, Magsaysay isn’t just a street — it’s a soundtrack.” — Jena Rajni Empeño-Miguel

The film captures that rhythm — the struggle between passion and practicality, between dreams and survival, between the song and the silence in between.

💜 Gratitude

TTL Video Production extended its gratitude to the talented actresses KC and Lalay, whose professionalism and dedication made the filming process seamless and inspiring. The team also expressed appreciation to Kuya Rey for securing a crucial location, Azkja Karlo for composing the original score, and Isak Isobel for designing the film’s official poster.

The company also thanked its family, friends, and supporters who shared trailers and promoted the film. TTL extended special thanks to Derek and Dave, organizers of the UNA Short Film Festival, for creating a platform that showcases Olongapo artists.

💫 What This Win Means to TTL

The award reinforces TTL Video Production’s mission: to tell stories that move people. What began as a passion project has strengthened the team’s belief that every brand, person, and community has a story worth sharing.

This milestone inspires TTL to continue creating films, brand stories, and campaigns that connect and inspire audiences. The company invites organizations and brands seeking video production services in Olongapo, Zambales, Bataan, and Pampanga to collaborate and share their stories through the power of film.
